We are so proud to announce that two of our talented music students; Alexandra Dietrich (tuba) and Periklis Alikiotis (trumpet) will be performing in the Luminato Festival's epic performance of Apocalypsis.
Composed by acclaimed Canadian composer R. Murray Schafer's Apocalypsis was first performed in full in 1980. The epic musical voyage is written in two parts: John’s Vision, a meditation on the world ending in chaos; and Credo, a revolutionary ascension to order.
This is one of the largest performance events Toronto has ever seen. Apocalypsis blends professional and amateur talents in a cast of 1,000 local singers, musicians, conductors, actors and dancers!
The performances will be taking place June 26 - 28 at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts! We are so proud of both of you!
“Resurrecting Apocalypsis is one of the greatest challenges Luminato Festival has ever taken on. I wouldn’t consider missing it.” — Toronto Star
