Newton’s Grove School is ahead of the curve. With the experience and expertise required to safely deliver our full educational program, we are currently providing our rewarding full day student-focused experience five days a week for elementary, middle and senior students.

When permitted by public health and the province, every student can safely learn in-class and focus on their studies knowing that we have extensive safety protocols in place.

These include:

  • State-of-the-art ventilation system
  • Small class sizes of 18 or fewer
  • Daily screening and reporting that ensures all individuals who are not well stay home.
  • Everyone in the school wears masks with teachers taking their classes outside for physically distanced learning and breaks from masks
  • Physical distancing augmented by unobtrusive plexiglass barriers on desks
  • Teachers ensuring students use hand sanitizers that are mounted at the entrances to the school and to classrooms
  • Regular cleaning of touch points throughout each day combined with regular overnight cleaning meeting the standards of the Center for Disease Control (CDC)

Every class is also available live on Zoom! Students can choose to learn at home, while still participating in and interacting with their own class, teachers and classmates in real-time. We offer the flexibility to make the switch between at-home and in-class options daily, so that learning is uninterrupted.

Students come first at Newton's Grove

Newton's Grove is a student-focused private school for children from JK through Grade 12. Surrounded by abundant green space, our growing state-of-the-art facility is bright, modern, and designed to stimulate and support every aspect of a student's development.

Our inquiry-based approach to learning exceeds Ministry of Education standards, and engages and inspires students to think critically, collaboratively and creatively at every stage of their unique journey toward success. Dynamic, well-rounded programming in academics, athletics, music and the arts ensures our students realize their full potential—academically, socially and physically—and develop into whole individuals.

With small class sizes and a  small student population, each student receives personal attention, guidance and encouragement. Well before their final year, Newton's Grove students are prepared and positioned to succeed in their post-secondary school of choice and beyond.

A brilliant balance of academics and arts

Arts programming at Newton's Grove includes music, visual and dramatic arts, and sparks self-expression and exploration while encouraging students to look at the world in new ways. Students will find themselves taking artistic risks, building confidence through collaborative efforts and helping to create annual productions.

Our renowned signature music program inspires an early love of music and encourages disciplined practice and mastery of an instrument. Newton's Grove students have successfully auditioned and been selected for the Provincial Honour Band, National Youth Band of Canada, and showcased at Carnegie Hall.

Helping our students grow for over 40 years

On our 40th anniversary, we moved into our new home at 6850 Goreway Drive. The entire facility—from fully-equipped science and computer rooms, to visual and dramatic arts rooms, the Learning Commons, and the music room and studio—has been thoughtfully designed to maximize the daily opportunities a student has to learn, strive, and grow.

A custom-built Athletics Centre, which is currently underway, is another key highlight of the new Newton's Grove. Building on our commitment to developing well-rounded students, the state-of-the-art complex will offer elite training and athletic programming, as well as exceptional opportunities for physical education.
