Unwrapping Joy: A Festive Season at Newton’s Grove School Citizenship, Events Greetings, Newton’s Grove School community! As we inch closer to the most festive time of the year, we are delighted to unveil the exciting seasonal highlights that will fill our school with even more joy and merriment. Brace yourselves for a season filled with performances, generosity, holiday spirit, and cherished traditions. Some Recent Highlights Our Grades 5-8 production took place at the Etobicoke Assembly Hall. It was a spectacular display of talent as our students took to the stage in a dazzling show entitled, “100 Years of Television”. Our JKs to Grade 4’s took to the stage right here at home in our Newton’s Grove Athletic Centre in a production of their own entitled, Lights! Camera! Christmas! Our young stars graced the stage in what was an unforgettable performance. Still to Come December 15: Pictures with Santa Hosted by the Senior Student Council, this event is not just about capturing festive memories but also about giving back. We are asking each student to bring a toy or two canned foods to contribute to our collection for the Toy & Food Drive. Always a much anticipated event here at Newton’s Grove, we can’t wait to experience the buzz and the kids’ excitement as they take pictures alongside Santa. December 18-21: Spirit Week Yet another opportunity to showcase your holiday cheer, our annual Spirit Week brings a week of holiday-themed dress-up days, spreading joy and fostering a sense of togetherness. Be sure to check The Grove newsletter or Edsby for specific details, and let’s make every day of Spirit Week a festive celebration! December 21: Last Day of Classes, Coffee & Carols As we bid adieu to 2023, we invite you to join us on December 21st for our beloved “Coffee and Carols” event. Families are invited into the school before 9:00 AM to enjoy a cup of coffee, accompanied by the heartwarming sounds of caroling around the piano. This will be followed by a Holiday Concert in the Gym (9:30am-10:15am) where our talented students will be performing! With our school abuzz with so many activities, we invite you to join us as we embrace the added warmth, joy, and community spirit that December brings to Newton’s Grove School. We look forward to creating lasting memories with you and your families during this festive season. Wishing you all a season filled with love, laughter, and togetherness!
