Standing Together Against Bullying on Pink Shirt Day

Newton’s Grove School is proud to participate in Pink Shirt Day, a day that helps to raise awareness about creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all students.

This important initiative raises awareness about bullying and promotes kindness, empathy, and understanding.

On this day, students and staff wear pink to show their support for anti-bullying initiatives and to stand in solidarity with those who have experienced bullying. Furthermore, our commitment extends beyond wearing the color pink – we engage in meaningful discussions about bullying prevention, digital citizenship, and the importance of being an upstander rather than a bystander.

We believe education on this important subject should be ongoing and that dialogue must remain open year-round in order to create spaces in which everyone feels safe, valued, heard, and respected.

For us, Pink Shirt Day serves as a visible reminder of our lasting commitment to do just that!
