Celebrating International Women’s Day at Newton’s Grove

This week Newton’s Grove School proudly celebrated International Women’s Day, honoring the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women throughout history and around the world, and those within our very own school community!

This important day aligns perfectly with our commitment to equality, respect, and empowerment for all.

Throughout the week, our students engaged in age-appropriate discussions and activities that highlighted notable women who have made significant contributions to various fields, from science and technology to arts and humanities.

This also included a Harmony and Heritage Assembly which was the perfect culmination of Black Heritage Month while we also recognized International Women’s Day.

Guest Speaker Monique Power who is known for her impactful work in integrating culturally relevant and responsive pedagogy delivered an inspirational and insightful presentation to students.

Our goal is to inspire our students, regardless of gender, to recognize and appreciate the vital role women play in shaping our society.

We believe that by celebrating International Women’s Day, we help cultivate a school environment where all students are encouraged to pursue their passions, challenge stereotypes, and reach their full potential.
