The 15th Annual Michele Temple Walkathon

On Friday, October 10, 2025, the Newton’s Grove community will gather for the 15th annual Michele Temple Walkathon and Fundraiser. This meaningful tradition honours Michele Temple, a cherished member of our school community and the mother of a former student, who lost her life to melanoma. Her story continues to inspire our efforts and brings purpose to this event each year.

Our students will take part in a day of walking, outdoor activities, and community spirit, all in support of melanoma cancer research. The Walkathon is a powerful reminder of how our community comes together to make a difference. Since its inception, the event has raised over $75,000 in support of this important cause.

Each year, we are honoured to welcome Dr. Temple, Michele’s husband, who speaks to our students about the importance of raising awareness and supporting cancer research. His words leave a lasting impression and help students understand the real-world impact of their efforts.

We are proud to mark the fifteenth year of this important tradition and we thank all of the families who continue to support it. Whether through donations, encouragement, or participation – every contribution makes a difference.
