Flapper! The Musical: Student Talent Takes the Stage

On February 12, Newton’s Grove School students took to the stage at The Assembly Hall for Flapper! The Musical, a lively Middle School production set in the spirited world of the 1920s. Performed in both a morning and evening show, the production welcomed families, staff, and friends for a celebration of student creativity, collaboration, and performance.

From energetic musical numbers to confident acting and choreography, students brought the story of a determined young woman pursuing her dreams to life with enthusiasm and poise. Months of rehearsals and preparation were evident in the cast’s stage presence and the seamless coordination of the student crew working behind the scenes.

While the performances were a highlight for audiences, the real impact was in the process leading up to them. Through rehearsals and preparation, students learned to rely on one another, step outside their comfort zones, and take pride in creating something collectively.

We are incredibly proud of the dedication and talent shown by all students involved in Flapper! The Musical. Experiences like this reflect Newton’s Grove School’s commitment to the arts, experiential learning, and creating opportunities for students to express themselves, collaborate, and shine.
