A Summer Shoutout from Mr. Zero

If you’ve ever been part of the Newton’s Grove athletics program, chances are you know Mr. Nick Zero. And if you know him, you remember him.

Our legendary Athletic Director has been inspiring students at Newton’s Grove for over 30 years. This summer, he’s thinking of you – and he’s sent a short video message to remind you to stay active, take care of your health, and maybe even squeeze in a workout or two.

Mr. Zero doesn’t just talk the talk. Earlier this year, he competed at the Ontario Masters Provincial Indoor Track and Field Meet, where he became the Provincial Champion in both the 800m and triple jump events. His love for sport and movement is lifelong and contagious, whether he’s coaching on the field or cheering from the sidelines.

More Than a Coach

Mr. Zero has led countless teams to success, and just this past year guided Newton’s Grove athletes to several championship finishes. But his greatest impact has always been in the day-to-day—encouraging effort, building confidence, and reminding every student that health and activity are for life, not just for competition.

So if you’re a current student, recent grad, or one of the many families he’s coached over the years, take a moment to watch his message. As always, he brings the energy.

Stay active, stay hydrated, and enjoy the summer. Mr. Zero will be back in September, ready to hit the ground running. Literally.
