What is your favourite memory at Newton’s Grove?: My favourite memories at Newton’s Grove School come from the moments leading up to a big production. Whether it be arts and music night or the school play, the energy
backstage before a performance is unmatched. As students at Newton’s Grove, my
peers and I put a lot of time into preparing our lines for a play, or our pieces for band,
and the night of the performance was the night that all our hard work paid off. In the
moments before I walked on stage, I would get a wave of emotions washing over me. I
was worried about messing up, I was sad that I would never get to play that role or
perform that piece again, but most of all, I was excited. Excited to put my everything
into the last performance, to show my family and peers how hard I had worked, and to
make the school community and myself proud. As I would look around at my fellow
actors or bandmates I would see the same excitement, and that is a memory I will never
let fade.
