Today, we are thrilled to introduce you to Michael Husu, one of our esteemed alumni, who is currently making waves in the enchanting city of Lucerne, Switzerland.

Michael Husu, who once walked our halls as a promising young musician, is now in his second year at the preeminent Hochschule Luzern – Musik, specializing in Piano Performance. It’s incredible to witness the journey of a budding talent as they spread their wings and take their passion to international stages.

Last June, Michael embarked on a musical odyssey that resulted in an ambitious project that was nothing short of breathtaking: assembling an orchestra, meticulously rehearsing, and then delivering awe-inspiring performances of three major symphonic works. The pieces chosen for this monumental endeavor were no ordinary compositions – they were handpicked gems from the classical repertoire, showcasing Michael’s commitment to pushing boundaries and exploring the depths of his craft.

The program featured Mozart’s iconic “Magic Flute Overture,” a piece known for its playful melodies and enchanting themes. Michael’s interpretation breathed new life into this timeless classic, capturing the hearts of the audience and transporting them to the magical world of Mozart.

Albeniz’s “Sevilla” followed suit, a fiery and passionate composition that demands precision and emotional depth. But the crowning jewel of Michael’s musical expedition was Sibelius’ “Valse Triste.” This hauntingly beautiful waltz, known for its melancholic undertones, was brought to life by Michael and his orchestra in a performance that tugged at the heartstrings of every listener.
