Cross Country

The 1st Newton’s Grove School Invitational Cross-Country Meet took place at Paul Coffey Park. Five hundred and thirteen runners, representing fourteen private schools competed with grit and determination. After weeks of training, the Knights competed well and achieved some excellent results. The top junior runners were Marcello, in the grade 4 boys division, who placed 3rd overall in a field of 110 runners, and Maya who finished 9th overall out of 99 competitors in her grade 5 age group. Our Intermediate runners also posted some outstanding performances. In the grade 7 girls division, Katelyn captured silver with an outstanding run, Hannah finished 7th overall and Kayla crossed the finish line in 8th place. The grade 7 boys were led by Ben who won a silver medal and Nayel who finished 5th overall. The grade 8 girls were led by a duo of strong runners. Ariana captured a bronze medal and Honey won silver. In the final race of the day, Milin finished 9th overall, and James took home a bronze medal. Congratulations to all who participated in a successful event.
