December at Newton’s Grove

As the year winds down, December at Newton’s Grove brings a joyful mix of celebration, creativity, and community spirit. Below are events to look forward to as we close out 2025 together.

Throughout the month of December, we will be collecting donations for our annual Food and Toy Drive through WINGS (We Inspire Newton’s Grove) in support of Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter. We encourage families to contribute what they can to help support members of our broader community. Donations will be accepted until Thursday, December 18.

December 4 – Senior School Production of A Christmas Carol
Join us on Thursday, December 4 as our Senior School students present A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. This timeless holiday classic is brought to life through the hard work and creativity of our talented cast and crew. We’re proud to showcase the performing arts at Newton’s Grove and invite our community to celebrate the season with us. Purchase Tickets HERE

December 12 – Photos with Santa & Holiday Giving
On Friday, December 12, students can take festive photos with Santa and help support our WINGS Food and Toy Drive. These contributions make a meaningful difference in our broader community, and we’re always proud of the generosity shown by our students and families.

December 15–18 – Spirit Week & Season of Giving
Spirit Week runs from December 15 to 18, featuring themed days, student-led activities, and plenty of opportunities to celebrate all that we’ve accomplished this term.

December 16 – Stepping into Kindergarten
We’re excited to welcome prospective families to our virtual Stepping into Kindergarten event on Tuesday, December 16 at 1:30. This virtual session is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about our Early Years program and speak with staff about how we support growth in these important first years.

As we come together for this special week, we also take time to reflect on the values that make our community so strong: gratitude, kindness, and generosity. Throughout Spirit Week, students and staff are encouraged to participate in our WINGS Food and Toy Drive, which supports Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter. Every contribution, big or small, helps brighten the season for families in need and reminds us of the power of giving back.

On Thursday, December 18, we invite parents, alumni, and community members to join us at 8:45 a.m. for Coffee and Carols. Caroling is a warm and festive morning of music, connection, and appreciation. Later that day, our school bands will continue a cherished Newton’s Grove tradition by visiting local nursing homes to share music and holiday cheer with residents.

December 19 – Winter Break Begins
Our last day of school is Thursday, December 18. Winter Break begins on Friday, December 19, and the school will reopen on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

We’re proud of all that our students have accomplished this term and look forward to a new year of learning, leadership, and community.

Wishing you and your family a safe, joyful, and restful holiday season.
