Issues in Canadian Geography is a Grade 9 academic course in Ontario that explores the links between Canada’s natural and human systems, its global connections, and key geographic issues like urbanization, resource management (food, water, energy), land use, and sustainability Students analyze these topics using geographic thinking, inquiry, and tools like GIS (Geographic Information Systems) to understand how diverse communities and the environment interact, incorporating perspectives from First Nations, Métis, and Inuit.
