Marketing and Communications Assistant and School Administrative Assistant

Job Description 

To realize plans for growth, we have identified the need for a Marketing and Communications Administrative Assistant who will report to the Marketing and Communications Director. We are seeking a team member with energy, experience, and resourcefulness.

Job Description:

  • Assist with developing, implementing and evaluating communication strategies and programs
  • Assist with the management of our digital assets including social media content calendars, managing our social networks, and monitoring and responding to comments across our social networks
  • Prepare and present social media and metrics and ROI reports
  • Conduct market research, prepare, and present reports
  • Develop and design marketing, educational, publicity and promotional materials
  • Manage website content
  • Develop and implement advertising campaigns across all social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube
  • Work cross-functionally with the Leadership Team and members of staff and faculty, with external vendors, suppliers
  • Write, edit, and proof short and long form content
  • Provide reception, clerical, and administrative support to the School Administration, teaching staff and student body to ensure the efficient operation of the school including responsibility for welcoming visitors, tracking attendance, and processing a variety of correspondence, mail outs, and other documentation.:

 

Required Skills and Capabilities 

  • Experience with graphic design software (preferably Canva), MS Office suite, social media scheduling and email marketing tools (e.g. Mailchimp)
  • Website experience (word press)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tools and techniques
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and cross-functionally to support multiple stakeholders and school divisions
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, their respective advertising platforms, as well as social media trends
