Athletics Celebrating Mackenzie Alexander and Team Canada’s Bronze Victory at the World Women’s U-18 Hockey Championship It’s a moment of immense pride and joy for Newton’s Grove School as we celebrate the remarkable achievement of our very own Mackenzie Alexander and the Canadian U-18 Women’s Hockey Team. In an exhilarating display of skill and teamwork, the team clinched the bronze medal at the World Women’s Under-18 Hockey Championship with a resounding 8-1 victory over Finland. Mackenzie Alexander, a shining star from Newton’s Grove, made her mark by scoring a crucial goal, adding to the team’s impressive tally. Maxine Cimoroni also contributed to the scoreline, demonstrating the collective strength and determination of the Canadian squad. Chloe Primerano was a standout performer, scoring twice and providing an assist, showcasing the depth of talent in the Canadian team. Her efforts not only contributed to the win but also led her to set a new single-tournament points record for a defender, highlighting the exceptional level of play at the tournament.
