Our Annual Grade 9 Camp Pinecrest Trip

It’s that time of year and our Grade 9 class thoroughly enjoyed our annual trip to Camp Pinecrest!

The highly anticipated trip afforded our students an exciting outdoor educational experience. Camp Pinecrest offers a diverse range of programs focused on learning, growth, and fun, and it certainly was an unforgettable adventure!

Students stayed in cabins and took part in activities all around the 400-acre Camp Pinecrest site including archery, swimming, high ropes, orienteering, and campfires.

Every activity connected back to concepts we’ve been learning in class this year in subjects like science, geography, and language. The hands-on learning experiences not only helped to deepen students’ understanding and appreciation for the outdoors, but also allowed them to learn more about such topics as local wildlife, ecosystems, and environmental stewardship.

Camp Pinecrest makes safety a top priority, even as they challenged us to try new things. The trip was an awesome opportunity to bond more as a close-knit school community through group challenges and overnight camping, particularly for all of our new students!

Camp Pinecrest was the perfect place for our class to learn practical skills and create memories.
