Safety First: A Return to In-Class Learning

The countdown is officially on to the start of the school year! We are delighted to welcome everyone back to in-class learning on September 7.

As the classroom seats fill and we return to our regular routines, the well-being of our students, staff, and their families remains our top priority, and we continue to implement exceptional safety measures throughout our facility.

These include:

  • State-of-the-art ventilation system
  • Small class sizes of 18 or fewer
  • Daily screening and reporting that ensures all individuals who are not well stay home.
  • Everyone in the school wears masks with teachers taking their classes outside for physically distanced learning and breaks from masks
  • Physical distancing augmented by unobtrusive plexiglass barriers on desks
  • Teachers ensuring students use hand sanitizers that are mounted at the entrances to the school and to classrooms
  • Regular cleaning of touch points throughout each day combined with regular overnight cleaning meeting the standards of the Center for Disease Control (CDC)

We also have a synchronous, unique hybrid learning option that allows students to the flexibility to make the switch daily between in-class and at-home learning, and remain an active and engaged member of their own class at all time.

Of course, we are closely following directives from the Government of Ontario and will be updating our protocols in accordance with any new developments.
